She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in 2012, and she received a Master of Science degree in chemistry from The Ohio State University in 2016. She received her PhD in chemistry from L. Robert Baker at The Ohio State University in May of 2020. Her dissertation is titled, “Understanding the Role of Lattice Defects and Metal Composition Ratio on the Photochemistry of CuFeO2 toward Solar Energy Conversion”.   Elizabeth’s life mission is to demonstrate that her role as a scientist and science educator is not inconsistent with her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but that her faith in Jesus catalyzes her curiosity and drive to conduct chemistry research as an act of worship. She is also passionate about developing curriculums and teaching that incorporate foundational biblical truth and principles with the instruction of chemistry and physics.

She is currently employed as a development engineer in the solar energy sector focused on improving CdTe solar technologies.
